The Afro-Fantasy graphic novel The Untamed: A Sinner’s Prayer is getting adapted into a film, which is good news. Viola Davis and JuVee Productions have announced that they are developing the film.
This might be one of the biggest Afro-Fantasy graphic novels to receive a film adaptation. The story centers on a man who is killed along with his wife and daughter. He is brought back from the afterlife with a deal: he must collect seven souls in seven days to earn his freedom.
The series is not for children. Yes, the sexual content in the novel is described explicitly, and there is a significant amount of nudity throughout.
I just hope they adapt it properly and stay true to the original content. However, the material in the novel might be too intense, so I have some doubts. Still, let’s hope we get a great film adaptation.
