Furious Adult Review: Missed Sexual Opportunities, Season 2 Predictions, and What Went Wrong!

Furious, a TV series from Hulu, presented itself as an erotic thriller, though it is a psychological thriller with lots of sex and nudity teases in the promos and trailer. The cast couldn’t stop talking about how bold the series is, how it handles sex, how everything feels raw, and how there are lots of sexual scenes.

The Plot

The season follows two main characters, Alice (Emmy Rossum) and Catherine (Lola Petticrew).

Alice is an ex-NYPD detective who faced abuse, and when she reported it, her department left her behind. She joined the FBI at the lowest level. She likes violent sex, she doesn’t like to shower, she has PTSD, and she doesn’t have a clear goal in her life.

Catherine is more focused. She is on a mission to kill the abusers from her past and get justice through violent means. She seduces people to get what she wants, and she doesn’t feel a thing. Sex for her is a tool to get near the people she wants to kill, and she kills them without hesitating.

Both women are complete opposites, but after they cross paths and find out about each other through lots of talking and killing, Alice becomes more like Catherine, while Catherine gets married, finds real love, but ends up in jail for her crimes.

In the final scene at the prison, Alice meets Catherine, and when Catherine asks if Alice liked killing, she smiled.
