As you may already be aware, Ana de Armas and Kate Hudson have been cast in an erotic thriller titled Palm Grove. The plot isn’t anything special; it is the same husband-affair plot, and things turn into a seductive power game when his wife finds out about his mistress.
Kate Hudson is going to play the wife, and Ana will be the secret lover. This brief plot synopsis is giving lesbian vibes. Maybe Kate Hudson’s character will suggest a threesome, and then things will turn deadly—that’s what happens in most erotic thrillers.
But the main thing is: will it be really erotic? Since most erotic thrillers these days have dropped the erotic part and barely give us any memorable n*dity or s*x, with the little information we currently have, it is not looking good.
The director is Kornél Mundruczó, who doesn’t have much experience directing anything erotic. Writers James Morosini and Chernin are making me feel hopeful, as neither has written anything particularly sexy.
So, going into this, we already have bad news, but it is too early to say anything for sure. While Ana is always ready to go nude whenever the script requires it, on the other hand, Kate Hudson has barely done any nudity in her career, so let’s just hope both ladies go all out on this one.
My guess is it will be like The Housemaid, where Ana de Armas shows some n*dity and Kate Hudson doesn’t.
Currently, the film is looking for potential buyers, so it will take some time for filming to start.
