One Hundred Years of Solitude came out as the best Colombian TV series for Netflix. It is based on the novel of the same name, following the BuendÃa family through various generations. Season 1 was an instant hit because those who read the book felt satisfied with the TV adaptation, which perfectly shows the relationships, sex, nudity, and the drama.
Now that we wait for the premiere of Season 2 on August 5th, and of course for the release of the official trailer, which is likely to be released within two weeks as of this writing, but before that let me give you details from the novel about what you can expect from Season 2.
Season 2 takes place directly after Season 1 but quickly switches to new generations, with peacetime returning to the town.
In the novel, the first romance shown is between an aunt and her niece, which was quite hot to read in the novel. We got some scenes of it in Season 1, but in the novel chapters that Season 2 is adapting, it takes it to the next level with the nudity and sex.
I must say that there isn’t as much sex as there was in the early chapters of the novel, but there’s a lot of nudity. Remedios the Beauty, who is making her first appearance in Season 2 as the fourth generation in the family, is the highlight. She is described as the most beautiful woman ever, like an angel, and she doesn’t act like a human at all. She walks around naked, has no sense of her sexuality or shame, believes her body is natural, and doesn’t like to hide it. People in the town stalk her while she is bathing and when she is just casually walking around the house totally nude. Many men meet their demise because of her beauty.
It will be exciting to see this character come alive in the series.
Literally all the female characters get naked. There are quite a lot of prostitution scenes as well, along with casual nudity from the characters.
So these are all the major sexual content and nudity mentioned in the second half of the novel, from Chapter 8 to the end, but believe me, there are going to be some more scenes added to the series since Season 1 had unexpected scenes.
But are the characters in the second half of the novel as interesting as those in the first half? Well, personally, I didn’t find them more exciting, but there are certainly more complicated relationships and more emotional scenes than in the first half.
