Yes, you heard it right! The 60+ actress is taking on another taboo project titled ‘Faydra’, but this time, it isn’t a movie — it’s a Broadway play.
She plays Phaedra, a married woman whose stepson, Hippolytus, is devoted to Artemis, the goddess of hunting and chastity. This angers Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, and sexual desire, so she makes Phaedra fall in love with Hippolytus. This sets off a tragic chain of events that ultimately leads to death.
As we know, Broadway plays sometimes feature A-list Hollywood actresses in nude scenes, and footage from performances has occasionally been leaked. However, we don’t know whether Julianne Moore will appear nude in this production. The plot itself does involve some potentially intimate material, but there is currently no confirmation that the play will feature nudity.
The play is scheduled to begin in February 2027.
