Prime Video is going all out with its partnership with Mercedes Ron

The author will now work with Prime Video to adapt all of her novels. The Culpables trilogy has already been successful enough for Prime Video to make this decision.

Her already published novels will be adapted. There are plans for two more films in the Dímelo trilogy, Drawn Together will premiere on September 9 starring Ester Expósito, and a U.S. adaptation of 30 Sunsets to Fall in Love is also in development.

From now on, Mercedes Ron will be writing her novels with the expectation that they could be adapted into live-action movies or series. Not only that, she will also have full creative involvement in her projects so the adaptations can stay true to the source material.

She will also be able to pitch works by other authors to Prime Video for potential adaptation. Mercedes Ron’s novels are mostly aimed at adults, with a decent amount of sex and nudity. However, so far, the adaptations of her novels on Prime Video have been disappointing in terms of sexual content. Hopefully, this new deal will change that.
