It feels like something from a sci-fi film, but I’m not kidding—AI is literally taking over Hollywood. Recently, Lionsgate announced that it will create mini-shows using AI.
Prime Video is also investing heavily in AI. They have already announced plans to create animated shows, and it is just a matter of time before they announce live-action AI shows.
Many indie studios are already using AI for scenes that might otherwise cost them a lot of money.
The recently released film Chum, starring Alice Eve, had a lot of AI-generated shark attack scenes. It looks obvious for now, but in the future it will look even more realistic.
Netflix also used AI for a building collapse scene in the Argentine sci-fi series El Eternauta.
If you’re wondering what this means for you, then let me tell you: in the near future, I am 100% sure many actresses will agree to do nudity and sex scenes using AI. As we all know, many actresses use body doubles, prosthetics, and CGI to fake nudity and sex. Now AI will also be used to create such scenes, and it is much cheaper and more time-saving compared to other methods.
There are so many actresses in Hollywood who think getting naked is not part of their “job” and will end up letting AI handle the stripping shots.
While I am not completely against the use of AI in shows, since I see it as just another tool like CGI that can be used to produce projects faster, I am completely against using it during intimacy scenes.
One thing is sure: the future is going to be both exciting and controversial.
