In the House of the Dragon Season 3 premiere, Aemond ends up kissing his mother after she gets way too close to him, and he goes in for a kiss. Surprisingly, Alicent doesn’t flinch at all. She is simply shocked and keeps her eyes open as her own son kisses her.
Olivia Cooke, who plays Alicent, says she didn’t shove Aemond away when he kissed her because he is a very dangerous man, and rejecting him could have gotten her killed.
Now, this leaves the question open: what will their relationship be going forward?
The answer may lie in Olivia Cooke’s statement. Aemond will likely try to push boundaries with Alicent in upcoming episodes, and she may not be in a position to reject him and could be forced to endure his behavior.
Will we actually see their relationship go further than this?
